PT situation only got worse: de facto and now officially losing control of political decisions in a supposed PT-led administration; its treasurer got arrested for a number of crimes; PT were not able to draw support from their traditional sources; internal crisis make reaction inneficient; and in insisting crisis would wane they manage to bring PT itself as a favorite punching bag at protests. Worse: PT populist leader Lula now sees degrading popularity, and constant increase in negative perception.
